The first teaser trailer for 2014's Godzilla reboot has been sort of released now, having been removed countless times from the internet since being leaked about 2 hours ago. Luckily enough I have recently seen it and it was astonishing how much I am now excited for this movie. The trailer brings this brilliant apocalyptic vibe to the film drawing away from the ridiculousness of the 2001 Godzilla movie and going for a more grounded and seasoned tone. These are some screenshots taken straight from the teaser, but I couldn't get hold of the trailer itself...Sorry.
As is obvious,there is going to be a lot of destruction taking place, but these shots definitely catch the foreboding sense of desperation and doom that is needed so much for this to work.
With these two shots we get a great sense of the scale of the creature, with what looks like a boat caught between a creatures claws, though this may not be Godzilla, this just shows the sheer scale and size of the film.
Finally, we get a shot of the creature itself, flaunting its massive spikes and displaying an ear piercing roar, this is definitely worth waiting for. The film is due out in May next year and is now up near the top of the list of upcoming films.
