Affleck to play the caped crusader

It has been reported that actor-cum-director Ben Affleck is to play Batman in Zack Snyders upcoming Batman/Superman crossover film to be released in 2015. It was reported this morning and hasn't exactly come in to large applause other than monumental amounts of scepticism and sheer disappointment. 

The original rumour circulating through Hollywood was that Josh Brolin was on the top of the list to play the new dark knight, which would have been much darker and grittier, making a good contrast to the brightly coloured superman.

Personally, I am more than willing to give Affleck a chance as he has really turned his career around since he started directing, and to be fair people decided to criticise Heath Ledger when he was cast as the joker.
